Sunday I picked some dandelions that were going to seed from the place we just mvoed out of, in the city.
I've collected the seeds so that I can plant them in pots (whenever I have some dirt).
Hopefully the seeds will grow and I'll be able to candy the flowers! I'm planning on letting a few of them -- if they grow, that is -- to go to seed and hopefully populate our new yard.
Sunday we also harvested the last of the food from our urban garden in the city.

We made part of it into dinner yesterday!
Cabbage and tomatos! Mom cut up some onions and put in alot of garlic as well. It ended up having alot more bite than you'd think. Anyway that's a picture of it before it went in the oven.
And here's after;
It doesn't look super different. Just less fresh, lol.
Next we got our green tomatos:
We cut them up, sprinkled them with salt and pepper.

Ingredients to make the bread that'll cover the tomatos before we fry them.
And for the finished product:
Dinner table:
My plate:

They were served with this little chicken things in the shape of crowns. I know, a little weird, but people give us stuff, and it was delicious so...
Today we used some of the cale from the old garden for dinner with steak and oven-fried potatos with melted cheddar.
Fried tomatos are half-healthy. Sure, nothing fried can be termed as a hundred percent healthy, but the tomato balances that a bit. And that plate and bowl was all we had...and we were so full that we couldn't get another helping! When Mom cooks, there's always leftovers =D
Also, on Sunday my brother and me cleaned out a friend of the family's gutters and I rescued a whole bunch of trees:
All but two of the pots you see here are trees that were growing in their gutters. I've yet to identify them.
