  • It's almost here...

Almost time to make our last plants and seed purchases for the year, and start planting!
I'm feeling somewhat panicky about this. Planting everything in just the right spots? Gonna be a challenge!

Alot to do. Reading up on the requirements for the seeds we already have, getting ready for the hardest part -- digging and working the spots that they'll need, and plotting out how all of them can get what they need.

It looks like we won't be able to plant corn every year, and keep the soil healthy...and it'll be rough this year as it is, to help return it to some semblance of a decent health. We probably should've started last year, but we moved in so late in the year.

Busy times. It's actually alot to do. Mom said I didn't have to get started right now, but I don't think she really realized how much there is to do. She can't just make a list of things to get, buy them, and go plant them -- granted, she farmed first and I grew up learning, but this is not endless acres like she's used to.
The rules are different, and we haven't farmed since the first house fire that made us poor for years, and even though we're okay financially again, that changes the ballpark too.

ALOT to do. If I can get a headstart, and I'm motivated, I'm gonna take it.

    Wish me luck!
